Fun Fun Fun

I love playing Ruan. Many haven’t even heard of Ruan. I think I should just do a little introduction here.

This is Ruan, a chinese instrument. It has four strings: G D G D, at least my is. It sounds like guitar, but with a deeper and more gentle sound. It dates back to 115BC, when a Han princess was married to a foreign country and the Han king ordered people to create an instrument that can be played on the horse. Later in the 1950s, people improved and finalised the Ruan we play now.

I love playing Ruan because it gives me a sense of peace. Go to any Chinese orchestra performance and you can listen to this wonderful instrument.
